San Rocard Mo was born on April 19, 1968 in Remedios, Antioquia in Colombia. He lived the first years of his childhood in a small town called Santa Isabel and then his family moved to El Tigre, other neighbouring town, there he lived part of his adolescence and youth and studied high school. He lived all these years with his maternal grandmother Aurora Mora and his mother Amanda Cardenas, such years were lived among games, work, and studies.
After dropping out of high school, he began to work hard on countryside activities, the only thing he could do in that town by that epoch. He was always curious about the mining work which he had constantly done along with his mother since he was at high school. He lived the other part of his youth in the in the municipality of Segovia directly in contact with the mining industry and the gold market and then he moved to Medellin in times of violence; in this city he studied plastic arts at Instituto de Bellas Artes and other different courses and art studies at different institutions and workshops of the city. Nowadays and for twenty years he has been working on painting, which is his passion and the way he makes a living of; believing in what he does, he works at Arte Rocard workshop along with his sister Yolanda. They do countless activities which include works of art, arranging of his and other artists’ exhibits and the making of his own projects. All of them focused on what makes him vibrate the most art, life, and people. If you wish to know more about this artist the only thing you should do is to read his writings and observe his works and you will find a life full of surprises where he looks for happiness and where passion and love feeds him.
